Here's a slightly obscure one ("obscure" in the gurdy world, hah)...
Leopold Mozart, Die Bauernhochzeit ("Peasants Wedding"). I've heard the vinyl LP of this by Eduard Melkus which is... interesting. I'm not sure if the hurdy-gurdy was deliberately off-key to fit the rustic style or if the LP or record player was suffering. Worth a listen for the novelty effects though. I have a CD of the Max Engel recording of the same piece coming from Ebay which I'm looking forward to comparing with it.
Any other Baroque/Classical rarities out there?
